Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Bizet’s Carmen with the Alliance Française d'Adélaïde before State Opera South Australia takes the stage at Her Majesty's Theatre from 17 to 24 October 2026. As the final mainstage production of the company's Golden Jubilee year, this production returns to the opera's roots, setting the drama in original 19th-century Seville complete with period costumes.

Members of the cast and creative team will share insights into their process, discussing how they are bringing Bizet’s score and 1800s Spain to life on the Adelaide stage.
