Set in a near-future society reliant on technology, the story follows Max, a technophobic former teacher who scrapes by stealing and selling state-of-the-art robots on the black market. After a scheme goes wrong and causes her to lose custody of her daughter, Max is forced to team up with an overly enthusiastic stolen robot named T-O to win back her daughter and put her life back together.
