Become a Detective
Level: A1 & above
Duration: 60 minutes

Put on your detective hat — there’s a mystery to solve! In this interactive workshop, students work together to find clues, describe
objects, and solve puzzles en français. Along the way, they practise using colours, classroom items, and location words while
developing teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Guided by an Alliance Française teacher, students will use their eyes, ears, and imagination to crack the case. Every clue leads to new
vocabulary and confidence in speaking French. All props and activity sheets are provided. This is a hands-on, story-filled workshop where
language learning feels like an adventure!
Material provided by the Alliance Française d'Adélaïde:
- Small objects or props for clues
- Paper clues with simple French phrases
- Detective badges (optional)
- Word bank handouts
This workshop follows the Australian Curriculum:
- Languages (French): classroom vocabulary, colours, numbers, directions, describing objects.
- Critical thinking: problem-solving, observation skills.
- General capabilities: literacy, intercultural understanding.

Become an Environmentalist
Level: A1 & above

Let’s protect our planet — the French way! Students learn how to talk about nature, recycling, and everyday eco-actions in French. Through
creative games and sorting activities, they explore how small changes can make a big difference for the environment. The workshop highlights
eco-friendly habits from France and encourages children to think about their own world. It combines French language with Science, HASS
(Humanities and Social Sciences), and sustainability in a fun, accessible way. All materials and visuals are provided by the Alliance
Française. Students leave feeling empowered, global, and ready to say Vive la planète !

Become a Writer & an Artist
Level: A1 & above

The Writer & Artist workshop invites students to express themselves through both language and art. Inspired by French illustrators and
storytellers, participants experiment with colours, shapes, and words to create their own illustrated stories or picture books en
français.
Through guided activities, they learn vocabulary for emotions, colours, and creative actions, while discovering famous French artists and
authors. The session nurtures imagination, self-expression, and intercultural understanding in a calm, inspiring environment.
All artistic materials and visual resources are provided by the Alliance Française. Teachers encourage reflection and creativity, helping
each student find their own voice and style. This workshop is a celebration of imagination — where art meets language and every student
becomes a creator.

- Paper, pencils, crayons, pastels
- Pictures of French artists/works

Become an Actor
Level: A1 & above

The Acting workshop invites students to step onto the stage and discover the joy of French performance. Drawing on the traditions of French
theatre and mime, participants learn to express emotions, gestures, and simple dialogues in French while exploring movement and
improvisation. Through collaborative skits, warm-up games, and mini-performances, students build confidence and communication skills. The
workshop encourages spontaneity and laughter All costumes, props, and activity cards are provided by the Alliance Française Adélaïde. Under
the guidance of experienced educators, students gain insight into the language of performance and the culture of French theatre. This
workshop is a lively and imaginative experience — where French words come to life through creativity, expression, and play.

This workshop follows the Australian Curriculum:
