Hannah Doyle teaches French language and literature at the University of Adelaide. She recently completed a Master of
Philosophy, specialising in the poetry of Marceline Desbordes-Valmore. She is particularly interested in the link between
Desbordes-Valmore’s theatrical background and the performative nature of her poems. Her research aims to draw attention to the poetic
mastery, innovation, and authority of this often-overlooked poet.
