Gad Elameleh is one of the biggest names in French stand-up comedy, voted the "Funniest man of the year" by TF1 viewers in 2007. Sometimes called the "Seinfeld of France" due to their similar styles – basing their comedy on everyday life – Gad has also been credited with bringing the American stand-up style to France.

In the modern era, Gad has had his stand-up special Gad Gone Wild and comedy TV series Huge in France both stream on Netflix.

Besides sold out stand-ups shows, Gad also provides the French voice of Gru in the Despicable Me franchise.

Florence Foresti entered French comedy as a sketch comedian, playing fictional, crazy and wacky characters on On a tout essayé (We tried everything) in 2004.

Her stand-up shows Florence Foresti fait des sketches and MotherFucker established her as one of the most popular comedians in France – even once being voted France's favourite comedian.

Florence was nominated for the Molière de l'humour in 2019 and 2023, and has hosted the César Awards in 2016 and 2020.
