This class is designed for children between 3 and 6 years old. They will be introduced to the French language through games, songs, stories and craft activities. They will discover vocabulary and simple sentences in topics such as animals, colours, numbers, feelings amongst other things.

This level is for children enrolled in grade 1 to 4 in primary school who are beginners in French. They will discover the French language and learn vocabulary and structures required to greet and introduce themselves in French, count up to 20, spell basic words, name, objects, animals, hobbies and express what they like and dislike amongst other things.

If your child has learnt French previously, please complete a placement test and send it to adelaide@af.org.au.

Year Level: 1 to 4

Books & Levels will be determined after the first week.
Pace: 2 hours / week over 10 weeks

This level is for students enrolled in grade 8 to 10 at school. They will discover the French language and learn vocabulary and structures required to greet and introduce themselves in French, count up to 100, talk about family, hobbies, school, what they like and dislike amongst other things.

This course is suitable for students studying year 11 or 12 French at school in 2022, looking for more preparation. This course will help students preparing for a SACE or an IB course to brush up on their grammar, listening, comprehension, written and oral skills.

Pace: 3 hours / day over 4 days

Officially accredited by the SACE Board of SA, the Alliance offers courses to prepare Year 12 students for the SACE Continuers French exam, while focusing on three strands: Communication, Understanding Language and Understanding Culture.

New students wanting to join a course after week 1 MUST contact reception prior to enrolment.
