Term 4 Cultural Program

French culture is at the heart of the Alliance Française d'Adélaïde. Each term, we create fun, entertaining and educational events that share the French spirit and culture with our members, students and beyond. Find below all the special events we have planned for you for Term 4 2022 (10 October - 17 December) to learn all things French from the French!

French Market 2022: A Taste of All Things French!

Friday 25 & Saturday 26 November
Soldiers' Memorial Gardens, Unley

French Market is making its way back to Unley as it returns 25 and 26 November at the Soldiers’ Memorial Gardens for a taste of all things French! Join us for two days of French-themed food, drinks, entertainment, products and more. Bring along your family and friends and enjoy the French Market ambiance!


Special Conference: Wine

Friday 17 November - 1:30pm
Alliance Française d'Adelaide, Wayville

Our special one night conference will delve into the contribution of France to the development of the Australian wine industry, with guest Barbara Santich.


Quiz Night

Friday 2 December – 6:30pm
Unley Town Hall, Oxford Tce

Don your best thinking bérets for our annual Quiz Night, hosted with Adelaide Accueil. Questions in English and French so all are welcome. Grab a table today!


End of Year Party: Petanque

Saturday 10 December – 12:30pm to 5pm
Club de Pétanque, Cnr Greenhill and Unley Roads

To celebrate the end of the year and the end of Term 4, join us for a Pétanque party that will have you feeling like you're in a French Town Square – with French inspired lunch provided! Our Pétanque party is a fun afternoon for all, so feel free to bring along your friends and family to share the French spirit and culture!

Ciné-Club: Halloween

Come for a good fright with Arnaud and Justine, your g...hosts, for a terrifying movie night « à la française » – prizes for best male and female costumes, so wear your best scary outfit for a hell of a night!


Atelier Desgustation: Cheese After Dark

Wednesday 9 November – 6:30pm
Adelaide Central Market

Created specially for the AF Adelaide and hosted by Valerie Henbest of Smelly Cheese, this workshop will explore the variety of tastes and production methods of cheeses around France – each with a matching French wine.

The Week of Taste has been celebrated in France for 33 years and is premiering in Australia in the City of Unley.


Panache: Le Mensonge

10 to 12 November
Star Theatre 2, Hilton

Panache Adelaide French Theatre is an amateur, not-for-profit theatre group performing French plays in French with English surtitles. Check out their latest play, inspired by Florian Zeller's Le Mensonge.
