It is designed for beginners in French with a strong basis in French (present tense, pronouns, common verbs, vocabulary about family, interests, city and profession). This term will introduce both future and past tenses in French.

Students will learn to:

  • Talk about habits (activities of everyday life), how to ask / tell the time and how to express an obligation.
  • Extend or decline an invitation, make an appointment and talk about future plans.
  • Describe their regular schedule and evoke past events.

  • Understand timetables, short texts about everyday activities, invitations (via sms or email) and a diary describing past activities.

  • Use simple phrases and sentences to describe your own everyday life, plans for the future and activities you did yesterday or the day before.

  • Write a short, simple diary.

  • Write about your habits.

  • Write an invitation.
