This course is designed for beginners in French with some knowledge of the language (present tense, whether an object is feminine or masculine, closed questions).

Students will learn how to:

  • Talk about their passions and hobbies and also how to talk about their jobs.
  • Describe a person.
  • Present their family, how to announce a family event (birth, wedding) or to react to one (congratulations etc.) and to ask about someone's news.

Objectives
  • Reinforce your prior knowledge of French.
  • Understand short descriptions of someone's hobbies and personality.

  • Understand a family tree and announcements.

  • Use simple phrases and sentences to describe your family, your job, your personality, your hobbies and interests.

  • Write a short, simple presentation about yourself or someone you know.

  • Write an announcement (for example birth, engagement etc.)

  • Ask and answer simple questions about familiar topics.

  • Ask about someone else's health.

    By the end of the course, learners will be able to interact in a simple way, to give and understand the description of someone.
