Alliance Française d'Adelaïde July 2016 Newsletter

Bonjour Community Member

Today is the day to welcome back the Alliance Française d’Adelaïde Newsletter. I thought it appropriate to keep you all up to date with some key happenings.

Our current director Jean Christophe’s tenure here has come to an end and he leaves us on 31st August. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Jean-Christophe very much for his contributions. His leadership and integrity has remained strong and he has achieved many positive things for the Alliance Française d’Adelaïde, particularly in developing strategic partnerships, which will see us well into the future. Laurent Pointud, the Assistant Head of School at the Collège Emile Zola in Suresnes, near Paris will take his place from September. Laurent Pointud brings strong skills in communication, education and culture.

The future of the Alliance Française d’Adelaïde looks very good, especially with the announcement that submarines are to be built in SA by French company DCNS. It is fair to say that due to that development the landscape for the Alliance Française d’Adelaïde has changed. We will continue to grow our business opportunities and remain committed to achieving the outcomes of our Strategic Direction document, particularly in growing our partnerships with Creative France and the City of Unley just to name a couple.

It is our intention to continue to grow the numbers of students and also run many French cultural events like our annual French Market in November.

Please have a look at our refreshed website, created by Florence Lourme our new bilingual receptionist and communication officer – it is really dynamic and inviting. We are looking forward to seeing you at class or at one of our events.

President, Alliance Française d’Adelaïde
