Resource centre
To help you practise French at home, the Alliance provides its students with free access to the Resource Centre, which includes books, magazines, videos, and CD-ROMs. If you are not a student of the Alliance, you can join as a member. This gives you access to the Resource Centre and more.
| Books: from cartoons to biographies, from art to science, history, tourism, cinema, novels, poetry, or books for children, the collection features a broad range of books... in French and in English! | |
| Magazines and newspapers: The Alliance subscribes to Popi, Pomme d'Api, Les Dossiers de l'actualité, Courrier international, Phosphore, Paris Match. | |
| Videos: a collection of French films, classic and new, fiction and documentaries on cassettes and DVDs. Some of our members say that this is the best way to learn the language. Please note that the Multimedia option has been abolished, meaning that all members now have access to the item of our Multimedia library. | |
| CD-ROMs: Become interactive ! Take advantage of our new collection of CD-ROMs for children and grown-ups, including Le Petit Prince, The World's Best Museum, and many more. | |
| Internet: Use our list of web site addresses related to the French language and France to prepare a journey, rent a house, discover a region... | |
| 25 TV channels in French : Thanks to Le Bouquet Français, the Alliance now receives 25 different French language channels via satellite on our big screen television. Among them, TV5, as always, but also, Cinéma Premier, Planète and LCI. We also receive 13 radio channels. Students and members of the Alliance can now benefit from it. If you wish to watch a particular program, it's simple - just call the Alliance and we will reserve for you the use of the television for the duration of that program. In any case, drop by the Alliance and "surf" to your heart's content. |
|
| Music collection: We have recently created a Music section, with a selection of new CDs representing a vast array of French music. |
