Marie-Thérèse
Marie-Thérèse Whiting - born Paris, France, came to Australia at the age of 5 but was never allowed to forget her heritage. She was brought up by a fiercely French mother, and French was the language spoken in the home.
Marie-Thérèse, with her husband and son, lived and worked in France and England, for a period of 7 years, and on returning to Australia she did an Arts Degree, majoring in French and history.
In 1997, Marie-Thérèse went on the adventure of her life, pending 8 months in Italy (as a nanny), and 5 months walking around France, before returning to Australia, refreshed and ready to begin a new phase in her life.
She has been teaching French since 1986 and has been at the Alliance Française since 1998. Marie-Thérèse loves travelling, cooking, sewing, reading, listening to classical music and loves her work!
