Karine
Karine was born and raised in Lorraine, in a village on the border with Belgium and Luxembourg. Thanks to a scolarship from the French Ministry of Education she was able to move to London and complete her secondary studies at the French Lycèe there. While in London she developed a strong interest in languages and later studied both English and Teaching French as a Foreign Language at the Université of Montpellier.
As a teacher of French, Karine was able to satisfy her taste for travel and worked in the USA and the UK. Then came a 3 year volunteer posting as an teacher trainer for English in Cambodia. This posting prompted a return to studies, and a move to Australia to complete studies in Applied Linguistics at Macquarie University in 2000.
Since 2000, Karine has been teaching both French and English in Sydney, Wagga Wagga and Adelaide. She is now living in the Adelaide hills with her family, and very much enjoys the festival atmosphere and multicultural setting of this city.
