Geneviève
Born in the small city of Sainte Hyacinthe in French-speaking Québec, Geneviève was first introduced to bilingual schooling in 6th grade. She completed her International Baccalaureate before the travel bug took her around South America, where she subjected locals to her own brand of Franco-Spanish Anglo-Portuguese pidgin... with some success! She then attented university in British Columbia, where she decided that more travel was in order (Mexico, Haïti).
While studying she also met her husband-to-be, who brought her Down Under only three years ago.
Upon arrival in Adelaide, she resumed her university training and found a second home at the Alliance Française. She has given our youngest students a taste for French songs, rhymes and greetings, as well as teaching high school students and adult classes. She has also introduced her colleagues to many wonderful Québécois expressions.
When she isn't working or studying hard, Geneviéve enjoys sunbathing on Australian beaches while reminiscing about snow-covered home.
